Newly sober and living together in a halfway house, co-founders Michael Jones and John Bowden both experienced over a decade ago what it's like to be new residents at a Sober Living Home. There were fourteen people living in a four-bedroom home, near constant relapses, little sense of community or staff engagement, and a "one-size-fits-all" methodology. After graduating from that "program," Bowden went to work in design and marketing, and Jones started a career in Addiction Aftercare, specifically focusing on Sober Living Home operations. In 2016 they partnered to create Lighthouse, an intentionally designed and community-focused approach to aftercare.
Michael Jones, Co-Founder & Senior Director
Michael Jones has been a part of the Dallas Recovery Community since 2008. Starting his career as an assistant residential manager, Michael quickly advanced to Residential Manager and then Managing Director within his first year of employment. Having established relationships and worked closely with nearly all the rehabilitation centers in Texas, as well as numerous others from around the country, Mike works closely across every aspect of the Lighthouse Program.
Jon Juhlin, Primary Therapist at Bluffview Counseling Services, M.S., L.P.C. Intern, CSAT (C)
Jon Juhlin received both a Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Counseling degrees from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. He is a proud member of the National Association of Addiction Professionals, as well at the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals, and The International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals. Jon believes that it is important to understand that the challenges of recovering from addiction affect not only the addict, but the entire family system as well. The focus of Jon's practice is work with recovering addicts and their families in both individual and group settings.
Coy Henrich, Community Manager
Coy Henrich worked in Law Enforcement for over eight years, earning Certificates in Police Science and Crimes Against Children Investigation. Coy began his recovery in Dallas, TX in 2012 after battling an addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs. Coy has a huge love and compassion for helping others, especially those battling addiction. As a Community Manager and Certified Recovery Coach, Coy works across many aspects of the Lighthouse Program, primarily focusing on the resident community and group and individual programming.
Daniel Bartlett, Interventionist
Daniel Bartlett has been active in the Texas Recovery Community since 2012. He brings to Lighthouse a straightforward yet empathetic approach to the Intervention process. Daniel is licensed by the state of Texas as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist. He has been working in a variety of roles within the Addiction Treatment Industry since 2013 and brings a wealth of hands-on Intervention experience to the Lighthouse team.
John Bowden, Co-Founder & President
John graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Economics with Financial Applications and minors in Philosophy, History, and Art History. He began his professional career in Texas creating marketing platforms for a variety of real estate, oil and gas, and technology companies. In June of 2014, Bowden co-founded Coalition, an investment and advisory firm, overseeing strategic growth. Bowden works closely with the Lighthouse team providing operational support, marketing strategy, and program design.
Alex Stoclet, Director of Community Design
Alex Stoclet graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2012 with degrees in Psychology and Foreign Languages. He has an extensive international background having grown up in the US, Tunisia, Morocco, Argentina, the UK and the UAE. Both during and after college, Stoclet has worked at firms specializing in marketing, social community projects, and investment banking. Stoclet brings his passion for people and community to Lighthouse as Director of Community Design where he focuses on client experience.
Robert Tobolowsky, Director of Real Estate
Having graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Economics with Financial Applications, Tobolowsky began his professional career at PegasusAblon, a Commercial Real Estate investment and development company in Dallas, TX. Tobolowsky then moved to Powder Mountain, UT to join Summit Series. Within his role on the development team, Tobolowsky coordinated acquisition financing and contributed to the planning and design of the community. In January of 2014, Tobolowsky co-founded Coalition, an investment and operations firm, as a Managing Partner overseeing operations and finance strategy. Tobolowsky is responsible for consulting on the financial and real estate aspects of Lighthouse.
Charles Manning, Operations Consultant
Manning graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Finance. He began his career with Stratford Land, a Dallas-based institutional land investment and development company where he was part of a two-man team that led all acquisition, development and entitlement activities in Texas. In 2014, Manning left to co-found Clear Water Resources, a waste recycling company. Currently attending Harvard Business School, Manning is responsible for consulting on the financial and operational aspects of Lighthouse.
