Here’s what you can expect at our luxury sober living homes:

  • Tailored approach to recovery

Unlike some other sober living programs or halfway houses, at Lighthouse Recovery personalization is key to our philosophy. Each individual getting or staying sober is unique, and their recovery is just as unique. That’s why we offer a completely tailored approach to our clinical therapy and in-home programming. Certainly, some requirements of the sober living program are the same across all residents – like at least 1 group, 1 individual, and 1 family therapy session each week.

  • Programming that works

With a success rate in maintaining sobriety of 78% for our residents who complete the sober living program, the proof is in the numbers. We’re a nationally recognized program with extremely high standards, where we focus on not just breaking the addiction but figuring out the underlying causes of addiction to lead to long-term recovery. All of our therapists are licensed, hold a Master’s degree, and are experienced in substance abuse so you truly get the most out of your individual and group therapy sessions.

IOP Program Benefits

We employ staff specializing in a wide range of modalities, allowing us to provide a more comprehensive approach. These modalities include, but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT), and Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Our highly trained staff work intensively with clients to address core issues. Every IOP session is aimed at reducing negative behaviors by addressing the emotions and thoughts that are often behind them. We work diligently and compassionately to make clients feel safe and understood.

Our flexible programming allows clients to continue to live at home, go to work or attend school, and still get the therapeutic support they need. The average intensive outpatient program lasts eight to twelve weeks and combines three group therapy sessions and one individual therapy session per week. We offer night groups and telehealth options for those with busier schedules.

Depending on the severity of the client’s case, programmatic therapy can be dramatically more cost-effective than a standard Inpatient Treatment program. We work with most private insurance providers to offset the majority of programming costs.

Insurances We Accept

Lighthouse accepts 100+ private insurance policies and offers cost-effective private-pay plans.
  • Small ratios

Unlike what you might have seen in a movie, our sober living homes are quite private. We house only 8 people at a time, and put just two men in a room together at a time. Some other sober living facilities house up to 18 residents, bunking 6 individuals per room. Since we’re a luxury sober living program, we know the importance of space and while we create an intimate community where our residents want to spend time, we do not fill our houses to the brim.

On top of small housing ratios, we have small client-to-staff ratios; with 3 residents per 1 staff member. This allows us to know our residents well, detect the subtle changes that might indicate a potential relapse, and ensure no one falls through the cracks. This is just another way we work to achieve lasting sobriety for our clients. Compare that to some halfway houses and sober homes that see 10:1 resident-to-staff ratios!

  • Home amenities

Our home amenities wow! Come for a tour yourself, and you’ll see why we’re a luxury sober living program. Houses range in size between 2,500-3,200 square feet with most houses coming with 5-beds and 3-bathrooms. Our spacious houses with big backyards are nestled in family-friendly, quiet, and safe communities and the refrigerators and pantries come stocked with groceries. There are workstations equipped with 27” Apple Desktop computers, huge televisions, high-speed Internet; but it isn’t all work and no play, we have XBOXs and YouTubeTV as well. Compare this with the other drab, bring-everything-yourself, bare minimum sober living and halfway houses in Dallas and there’s no comparison. You want your home and community to feel like an encouragement to your sobriety and recovery journey, not an abysmal environment you don’t enjoy. Every aspect of your journey matters, which is why we’ve thoughtfully created a welcoming, structured, successful way to help you stay sober.

  • Focused, community of support

At the luxury sober living homes from Lighthouse Recovery we offer a focused, community of support. Because our sober homes are smaller in size with a small staff-to-resident ratio, we have a tight knit community and 24/7 accountability. Our personalized, progress-based system for sobriety helps all of our residents find their unique, underlying cause of addiction and therefore, break the symptoms. We pair each resident with a dedicated case manager, a relationship which many continue for 6 months to a year after graduating the program.

  • Neighborhood

All four of our sober houses are located in a family-friendly, safe neighborhood west of Preston Hollow in Dallas. You are safe and secure when staying with Lighthouse Recovery.

If you’re ready for structure and support through your sobriety, give us a call at Lighthouse Recovery. Our team can confidentially discuss your fit for our sober living program over the phone. IOP Frequently Asked Questions

What is IOP?

Intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a lower level of care on the spectrum of treatment.  It usually consists of three 3-hour group sessions a week with a licensed therapist and at least one 1-hour individual therapy session. IOP is perfect for those stepping down from a Residential or Inpatient Treatment Center, or those that are unable to commit to going away for a minimum of 30 days. IOP is often a good alternative for those with families or careers that they are unable to take too much time away from.

Is IOP right for me?

An intensive outpatient program is suitable for most people at some point in their recovery journey. Although we like to be able to help as many individuals as possible at Lighthouse, some clients require a higher level of care initially due to the severity of their addiction and are later suitable for the IOP level of care. We offer a free assessment for everyone who calls needing help with no obligation to enroll in our programs. Let one of our trained professionals help you make the determination.

How long does IOP last?

Typically, an IOP lasts 8 to 12 weeks. There are a number of factors that help determine the intensive outpatient program length, such as insurance benefits, medical necessity, and engagement.

How much does IOP cost?

Treatment can be expensive, but IOP is often on the lower end cost-wise when comparing it to Residential or Inpatient care. We’re able to work with most private insurances to help offset the cost of your treatment with us.  If for some reason your insurance doesn’t cover our program or you don’t have insurance, we can always discuss our Scholarship Self-Pay rates. Our finance team may be able to help you set up a payment plan, if you are unable to come up with the full cost upfront.

What happens if I relapse in an IOP?

As unfortunate as it may appear to be at the time, every experience can be turned into a positive lesson, if you are honest and seek immediate help. For some people, relapse is part of the process and it only has to be a negative if you don’t work to get back on track. It’s hard for some people to come to terms with being addicted to alcohol or drugs, so a relapse could be the motivation to focus harder on their recovery. If one does occur, call your support system and your program contact immediately. One mistake does not have to derail your journey to lasting recovery and happiness.
