Nate Maxfield

Community Manager

Nate’s experience with Sober Living started with a stay at a facility, at the suggestion of his Inpatient Treatment team and his parents. During this stay, Nate knew he was destined to work in the Recovery Industry. Post a successful completion, he has worked at a number of facilities, helping others achieve sobriety, build structure in their live, and acting a role model - showing them how leading a sober life can be fun.

What inspired you to choose this profession?

When I was at a Sober Living Facility I knew that I wanted to help others get sober. I found helping the new guys and watching them grow was a really cool thing, especially when they would come and talk to me privately and ask for advice or guidance. I have worked in the industry ever since and am thankful everyday for the opportunity I have to help others.

What would you want someone to know about working with you?

I truly love what I do. I get to help teach these guys structure and life skills that have been forgotten while in addiction. Seeing these guys grow in their recovery is a really awesome and an amazing thing to see.

Why Lighthouse?

I have worked at many different Sober Living program here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area over the past few years, but I have always wanted to work for Mike Jones and Aaron Stacey. I believe in what they are doing here at Lighthouse because I know they care about the guys that come through here. I have known Aaron since I went to Sober Living and really admire his passion for helping others. The guys that work here at Lighthouse really care and I have always wanted to be part of something like this, something special.

What do you wish people knew about Lighthouse who might be hesitant to try it?

Just know that Lighthouse is going to do everything we can to help you and put you in the best possible situation when you leave, no matter where you’re starting from.
