What Makes Lighthouse Recovery Sober Living Facilities Better

When comparing one sober living facility from the next, you’ll want to look at a variety of factors: the staff, the quality of the facilities, the programming, success rate, and more. But what makes one sober living facility better than another?

Let’s look at these factors and see how Lighthouse Recovery goes above and beyond in all areas through their sober living program.

  • The people

Our sober living facility staff carries over 30 years experience in sober living. They understand what you’re going through, and how to help you get through it, and maintain sobriety. You’ll see a licensed, Masters-level clinician for individual therapy sessions. And, we hand-pick a case manager to walk with you through weekly one-on-ones throughout your sobriety journey. Beyond decades of experience, licenses, and meeting professional standards, all of our team truly cares. Just take it from William C. who wrote on Google reviews: “The staff is amazing, the house is extremely nice, and the community is proactive. Lighthouse showed me how to live life as a sober man. I would not be where I am today without this amazing place. A huge thanks to the staff for getting me back on my feet!”

IOP Program Benefits

Integrative

We employ staff specializing in a wide range of modalities, allowing us to provide a more comprehensive approach. These modalities include, but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT), and Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Compassionate

Our highly trained staff work intensively with clients to address core issues. Every IOP session is aimed at reducing negative behaviors by addressing the emotions and thoughts that are often behind them. We work diligently and compassionately to make clients feel safe and understood.

Convenient

Our flexible programming allows clients to continue to live at home, go to work or attend school, and still get the therapeutic support they need. The average intensive outpatient program lasts eight to twelve weeks and combines three group therapy sessions and one individual therapy session per week. We offer night groups and telehealth options for those with busier schedules.

Cost-effective

Depending on the severity of the client’s case, programmatic therapy can be dramatically more cost-effective than a standard Inpatient Treatment program. We work with most private insurance providers to offset the majority of programming costs.

Insurances We Accept

Lighthouse accepts 100+ private insurance policies and offers cost-effective private-pay plans.

  • The actual sober living facility

Like William said above, our sober living facilities are extremely nice, modern, and enjoyable homes. Check them out for yourself! You can see these beautiful, spacious homes are designed for you to want to spend time in them. The homes come with 75” LED TVs, an XBOX, workstations equipped with large Apple desktop computers, a spacious backyard, open communal areas, and stocked full of groceries. If you decide to visit other sober living houses in Dallas, you’ll keep coming back to the modern, private, and homey facilities at Lighthouse Recovery.

  • The small ratios

One of the main benefits to choosing a Lighthouse Recovery sober living facility is the small resident-to-staff ratios. You’ll find a max of 3 residents for every 1 staff member, the lowest ratios we’ve seen! We keep our house sizes small and comfortable as well, allowing 8 residents per house and only 2 residents per room. Unlike some sober homes that bunk nearly 20 individuals per house, we know the importance of a private, intimate community where each resident is seen, heard, and held accountable.

  • The programming

At Lighthouse Recovery, we excel in our sober living programming. We offer a wide range of in-house and out-of-house programming designed to truly aid all residents in their recovery. All residents participate in individual clinical therapy and group therapy, including in-home programming covering a range of topics from boundary setting to relapse prevention. We offer bi-monthly recreational programming as well, knowing that fostering a sense of community helps build accountability inside and outside of the home. You’ll also meet with your dedicated case manager weekly. With all the consistency and touchpoints of our programming, it’s no wonder why 78% of residents that complete the program have maintained sobriety. Most residents choose to continue with case management for anywhere from 6 months to a year once they’re discharged from the sober living facility, as this continuum of care adds a level of accountability and support to best maintain sobriety.

  • The philosophy

Unlike some sober living facilities in Dallas whose main philosophy behind their homes is “everyone here is sober” and peer support, Lighthouse Recovery has a tailored, science-and-progress-based approach to recovery. Our philosophy is about setting men up to be successful in life and recovery. We start out focusing on the individual, and then integrate work and social life to achieve that balance.

You have choices when it comes to your sober living facility in Dallas, and that’s why we encourage you to visit Lighthouse Recovery. We believe the level of care of each of our staff members, the look and feel of our homes, and the quality of clinical care you will receive will exceed your experience anywhere else. Give us a call today, and get started on your journey to sobriety.

IOP Frequently Asked Questions

What is IOP?

Intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a lower level of care on the spectrum of treatment.  It usually consists of three 3-hour group sessions a week with a licensed therapist and at least one 1-hour individual therapy session. IOP is perfect for those stepping down from a Residential or Inpatient Treatment Center, or those that are unable to commit to going away for a minimum of 30 days. IOP is often a good alternative for those with families or careers that they are unable to take too much time away from.

Is IOP right for me?

An intensive outpatient program is suitable for most people at some point in their recovery journey. Although we like to be able to help as many individuals as possible at Lighthouse, some clients require a higher level of care initially due to the severity of their addiction and are later suitable for the IOP level of care. We offer a free assessment for everyone who calls needing help with no obligation to enroll in our programs. Let one of our trained professionals help you make the determination.

How long does IOP last?

Typically, an IOP lasts 8 to 12 weeks. There are a number of factors that help determine the intensive outpatient program length, such as insurance benefits, medical necessity, and engagement.

How much does IOP cost?

Treatment can be expensive, but IOP is often on the lower end cost-wise when comparing it to Residential or Inpatient care. We’re able to work with most private insurances to help offset the cost of your treatment with us.  If for some reason your insurance doesn’t cover our program or you don’t have insurance, we can always discuss our Scholarship Self-Pay rates. Our finance team may be able to help you set up a payment plan, if you are unable to come up with the full cost upfront.

What happens if I relapse in an IOP?

As unfortunate as it may appear to be at the time, every experience can be turned into a positive lesson, if you are honest and seek immediate help. For some people, relapse is part of the process and it only has to be a negative if you don’t work to get back on track. It’s hard for some people to come to terms with being addicted to alcohol or drugs, so a relapse could be the motivation to focus harder on their recovery. If one does occur, call your support system and your program contact immediately. One mistake does not have to derail your journey to lasting recovery and happiness.
