I honestly wasn’t sure when I first got sober, if this field would be right for me. In my early days of sobriety, I did a lot of service work and ended up by circumstance, managing a sober home. It was in managing the sober home, that I found a passion for working in the industry. I have worked in the field since I was 4 months sober and I honestly don’t think I would want to do anything else.

What inspired you to choose this profession?
What would you want someone to know about working with you?
I love what I do. I wake up every day knowing that I have an opportunity to help a family in need. I can get really passionate when I talk to the families and it’s that passion that reminds me that I’m in the right field.
Why do you work at Lighthouse?
I have worked at a lot of different places over the years, but with Lighthouse, I found a real home. It is amazing to be able to work for an organization that doesn’t sway from its philosophy. I have known Mike Jones for years, have always admired his integrity, and when I was asked if I wanted to join the Lighthouse team, it was an obvious “yes.”
What do you wish people knew about Lighthouse who might be hesitant to try it?
