Owen Richardson
House Manager
“I live by a simple principle: excellence is a way of life. It shapes how I work, how I treat people, and how I hold myself accountable.”
Owen Richardson serves as a House Manager at Lighthouse Recovery, where he provides daily structure, accountability, and mentorship for residents in our Extended Care program. A graduate of the University of Miami’s Herbert School of Business with a degree in Economics and a minor in Political Science, Owen brings a sharp mind and strong communication skills to his role. Before joining Lighthouse, he gained experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and media production – including an internship at Seven Letter in Washington, D.C. and production work for CNN’s nationally televised presidential town halls.
Owen’s path into mental health work is rooted in his own experience. He once lived driven by impulse and chasing relief – a combination of lifestyle choices and mental health challenges that made direction and stability hard to find. Through those struggles, he learned the importance of discipline, principle, and structure – not as restrictions, but as the foundation for a life that actually works. That hard-won perspective shapes how he supports the young men at Lighthouse today.
Owen specializes in helping clients find a sense of purpose and build the accountability, meaning, and sustainable change that recovery requires. He understands what it’s like to feel lost and to slowly find your footing through consistent effort and intentional living. His presence in the house is a reminder that recovery isn’t just about stopping something – it’s about building something worth protecting.
